Marie D. Pennington, of Manalapan, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Francis E Parker Home in Piscataway.  She was 90.

Born in New Brunswick, she lived in Milltown before moving to Manalapan in 1986.

She was a past communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Milltown and  member of the Altar Rosary Society.  She also was on the Our Lady of Lourdes School HSA.  In recent years she was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy RC Church in Englishtown and St. Thomas More RC Church in Manalapan.

Mrs. Pennington was a receptionist for Personal Products, Milltown,  for 15 years, retiring in 1983.  She enjoyed swimming and spending summers at the Jersey shore.

She's predeceased by her husband Frank E. Pennington (d. 2004),  her grandson Robert Balachick (d. 2004), and her sister Agnes Ballou.

Surviving are her daughters Jeanne Olsen and Patricia Balachick, both of North Brunswick, and Diane Davis, and her husband Raymond, of Manalapan; her sons Ross, and his wife Kathy, of Old Bridge and Richard of Hillsborough, her sisters Jeanne Zajac, Thelma Colligan and Helen O'Donnell; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, 11:30 am, at St. Thomas More RC Church, Manalapan.
Friends and relatives may call on Friday  2-4 pm and  6-8 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St - at Riva Ave., Milltown.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to : St. Thomas More RC Church.
